User Story 1: Candice
Incoming First-Year / Erie, PA / Dorms
“I’ve seen some pictures, but move In day will be the first time I see what my dorm actually looks like!”
How might we help Candice shop remotely?
Feature 1: Filter By University
By providing a way to search specific colleges within the BB&B app, we empower Candice to make confident digital purchases well in advance of move-in day.
User Story 2: Thomas
Second Year / Dansville, NY / University Commons ( on-campus apartment )
“I know the apartment I’m moving into is furnished, but I’m not sure what else I need to bring.”
How might we help Thomas buy only what he needs?
Feature 2: Living Situation Specific Collections
By allowing users to search products by housing, we can remove hesitation and uncertainty from the e-commerce experience.
User Story 3: Xander
Incoming First Year / Hilo, HI, Dorms
“I’m arriving to move-in alone by plane and will have to purchase all my dorm items by myself when I get there. I am so stressed out thinking about all the trips I’ll have to make… and I don’t even have a car!”
How might we help Xander shop under stress?
Feature 3: Curated Kits
By offering complete kits with everything a student needs, we make shopping manageable and stress-free with a one-click solution.
User Story 4: Stacy
Fourth Year / Rochester, NY / Off-Campus Apartment
“I’m environmentally conscious, and want to spend good money on items that last.”
How might we help Stacy find quality products?
Feature 4: University Ratings & Reviews
By creating a space for only RIT student ratings and reviews we increase the ethos of the BB&B brand overall and increase the ability of students to find high-quality items.
